The 2nd Ongar Folk Festival, Ongar, Essex The Folk Festival is being run alongside the Ongar Medieval Fair. The Medieval Fair is held within the grounds of Ongar Castle (a motte and bailey castle site in the centre of Ongar). The aim of the 2nd Ongar Folk Festival is to run a Traditional style festival to include: Singarounds & Musicians Sessions, all arranged throughout the weekend at separate pubs along Ongar's High Street. Singarounds and Musicians Sessions will be run by MCs from some of the best folk clubs in Essex who have kindly offered their help and time to make this Festival successful in its opening year. In addition, Morris, Mummers and Clog dancers will all be represented with some planned performances outdoors on Manor Square in the centre of Ongar's High Street. So, it's Singarounds, Musicians Sessions, Mummers, Morris Dancers, Clog Dancers, Great Pubs, Real Ale, BBQ, Beer Tent, Ongar Castle, Medieval Fair making for a fabulous FOLK FESTIVAL in the Essex town of Ongar!
